To infinity and beyond! Just this Friday, John Lasseter, creative director of Disney/Pixar's animated films and projects, shared details with CNBC in Anaheim at the D23 Expo, annoucning Toy Story 4's plot will follow Woody (Tom Hanks) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) and how they go on a mission to get back Bo Peep, originally played by Annie Potts in the first two films of the franchise. Woody really just loves Bo Peep and wants her back. There have been rumors going on about the fourth film and what other subject matter the writers could possibly get into. "It [was even] hinted at since last year that the fourth installment in the Toy Story franchise would be more of a spin-off than a sequel to the movies that came before it," Yahoo! News reports. It's exciting to hear that that will not be the case!

Lasseter went on in his interview with CNBC about Pixar and Disney and how they make decisions in regards to their films. "At Pixar and at Disney, we only make sequels if we come up with a story that's as good or better than the original. That's our rule. We don't do things just to print money." It is truly a creative component that comes with the magic of the company. Lasseter commented that it's about the fans and what they want to see. It's their support that helps the company produce stories worth seeing. The view of the company and of Lasseter has do with the finding the right story and present something that will succeed in its own right and not just because it is a sequel to a previous success. "In every sequel that Pixar does we try to do something that is very different from the original, but is as good in a different way," Yahoo! News reports on Lasseter.

Lasseter has been involved with so many successful projects and their sequels for Disney and Pixar. He "has presided over a renaissance at the storied studio following a period of decline in the early 2000s. Under his oversight, the studio has turned out a number of critical and commercial hits, including the No. 1 animated feature of all-time, Frozen," CNBC says. This project will be no different and fans are not only on the edge of their seats for Toy Story 4 due out in 2017, but also for a more recently upcoming sequel to Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, to be released June 17th 2016.
