'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' Adds Transgender Model, Amiyah Scott to Cast

Real Housewives of Atlanta fans, are you ready? There is apparently a new cast member in town, and she's a transgender woman. According to TMZ, the hit Bravo TV show will be adding model, hair and makeup artist, Amiyah Scott to the RHOA cast this season.

The infamous gossip site claims that Amiyah was born Arthur and started her transformation 10 years ago at the age of 17.

The new Real Housewives of Atlanta star will be replacing NeNe Leakes. Ms. Scott has been romantically linked to multiple rappers, and will apparently be giving the hit show a new twist.

According to Yahoo, Amiyah will be joining new cast member, Kim Fields from Facts of Life. These two ladies will have some high expectations placed on them by fans after Leakes revealed that she was leaving the show.

MStars News previously reported that Leakes announced her departure via Instagram. She wrote at that time, "This is so hard for me to type! I cry as I do so! I am so Grateful for all the love and laughs!" Leakes added, "Thank you so much to everyone that has watched and supported me over the years on this amazing platform! With lots of thoughts and prayer I've decided to step out on faith and not fear. #nomoRHOA4me."

Another member of the RHOA show, Claudia Jordan was also reportedly not returning to the show. MStars News previously learned rumor has it Jordan was only going to make appearances like Porsha Williams, but it was too early to tell.

Some other surprises coming this season includes, Kim Zolciak's return, and Kandi Burruss' pregnancy journey.

MStars News has been keeping up with Kandi since she and her husband, Todd Tucker announced that they were expecting a little one due in January.
