Ciara had a lot to say during her chat with CBS This Morning on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015. During her chat with Gayle King, the "Dance Like We're Making Love" singer opened up about her past relationship with rapper Future, parenting her son Future Zahir Wilburn, and her dating life with NFL star Russell Wilson. During the interview, Ciara made it clear that she didn't mind what people had to say about her relationship, breakup, and her parenting skills because people were going to talk about her anyways.

In the clip below, Ciara was asked if she was upset or frustrated at some of the things the public has to say about her, and her parenting skills. The singer replied, "People are going to talk about me. I was built for this. This is what I'm supposed to be doing. People are going to talk about you all the time. But when it comes to your child, it's serious."

As for her relationship with the Seattle Seahawks quarterback and his role in her son's life, Ciara said she felt like it was a "double standard."
"It's been very interesting to hear what a lot of guys have had to say," the mother-of-one said. "I feel like in a sense it's a bit of a double standard, because at one point in time when we were together, I took care of his kids as well."
Ciara wasn't shy about mentioning how many kids Future had. The rapper has four children with four different women, including the singer. "I was involved very early in the stage of us getting to know each other, and that's been a big conversation. It's kind of like, 'Well, what's the difference here?' I think that even for the men that were outspoken, it's like, wouldn't you want someone to love on your child, or love on the child that you are speaking about?" Ciara claimed. "More than anything, it is a child we're talking about. That's the thing that I think people have to think about. It's like: Remove the adults from the situation. Really, this is my child here, and that's serious."

As for her celibate relationship with Russell, Ciara claimed that she and the football star are both Christians. Despite not giving the exact date on when she started seeing Russell, Ciara gushed about her new love.
"We've been together for more than half a year now." she revealed. "It was one of those things where it was an organic conversation he was having. I don't think he expected to talk about it either, but I guess he was just speaking the reality of what is really going on. And, you know, it was at church and I think the cool thing is just being able to share our journey with other people like us. It's a great challenge; I can definitely say that. But it's awesome because we get to learn...We get to really challenge ourselves getting to know each other and really build a foundation...We are Christians and we love God and believe in God."
When one of the CBS reporters pointed out that Christians have sex, Ciara smiled and said: "Yeah, based off of wanting to love each other, really wanting to know each other, really wanting to build and grow a solid foundation, because that part is the cherry on top. You know, sometimes I think that can also cloud your emotions and you can kind of not really get to see a person for who they are, so we are challenging ourselves."

We're glad that the singer is finally clearing up some of the buzz her fans and others seem to continue to keep going. MStars News also learned that the singer has been spending a lot of time with Russell's family. Just this weekend the entire group was spotted at a WNBA basketball game all smiles.
