WWE taped the August 20, 2015 edition of Thursday Night SmackDown on Tuesday in Green Bay, Wisconsin prior to SummerSlam 2015 this Sunday, which will be hosted by The Daily Show's Jon Stewart. The show's main event is an eight-man tag team match that combines three ongoing feuds. The show will air on the SyFy Network, but if you can't watch there, then you can try here or here, both of which broadcast free live streams of the show (this may require downloading a torrent).
Check out the spoilers for tonight's show, which will not air until tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern.
The show starts with the Intercontinental Champion Ryback vs. Big Show, which means Ryback has this week fought both of his opponents in the Triple Threat match for the title on Sunday. The match ends in a double count out when the champ flattens the giant with a Meathook Clothesline that sends him right through the barricade outside the ring.
The New Day beats Los Matadores after El Torito takes a Big Ending from Big E, which allows Xavier Woods to score the pin.
Dolph Ziggler and Lana come out to cut a promo. Rusev, Lana's former flame, and his new girlfriend, Summer Rae, who has been dressing up exactly like Lana, make their way down to the ring. The altercation helps move toward the match between the two men on Sunday.
Neville takes precious little time to defeat Bo Dallas with his patented Red Arrow. Stardust and the Cosmic King Barrett appear on the TitanTron to cut another promo on their opponents this Sunday. As a reminder, Neville and Arrow star Stephen Amell will face Stardust and the Cosmic King in a tag team match.
Team Bella heads to the ring to cut a promo, but Sasha Banks, Naomi, and Tamina Snuka (Team BAD) interrupts the three women. Team PCB then comes out and this leads to a Triple Threat match among Brie Bella, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks. Brie gets the victory when she pins Becky by hooking her her tights.
Finally, we come to the eight-man tag team match main event in which Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Cesaro, and Randy Ortonbeat Kevin Owens, Bray Wyatt, Sheamus, and Luke Harper. As is the custom with these matches, the entire affair breaks down into chaos with all eight men flying around the ring. Eventually, Ambrose uses Dirty Deeds on Harper and pins him. The finish also contains numerous finishers from each of the wrestlers.
