Brooklyn's "The Mixtape King" DJ Woo Kid confirmed his arrest for driving with nine suspended licenses.

Kid, hosts hip hop group G-Unit's satellite radio, Sirius, and is known for making G-Unit's mixtapes. He got embroiled in a recent controversy and photos of him getting arrested made in-roads into the social networking and microblogging sites. Many were questioning the validity of the picture. But now we can lay these doubts to rest as Kid himself opened up on the issue with HipHopWired.

It can be now safely confirmed that the pictures were in fact real and he was arrested Feb. 1 for driving with nine suspended licenses and traffic tickets.

Kid was pulled over by the police for textinga nd later arrested. Kid illuminates us on what exactly happened, "I went to the G-Unit offices to have a meeting for some VH1 sh-t. When I was leaving the meeting, I was on my way to interview A$AP Ferg  [at Shade 45]. I had to go up 40th St and I'm getting the phone calls to make sure I'm getting to Shade. I looked at my phone to see who was calling me and a cop thought I was texting. So he pulled me over. It's the 31st [of January] so it's their quota. Once they saw I had nine suspensions, I had my boy from the office come take my car and that's when [the police] took me," he told HipHopWired.

Kid was detained in jail for less than 24 hours. He had to skip his interview with A$AP Ferg and his appearance on 106 & Park.

But Kid took these things coolly. "Other than that man, I'm just trying to stay out of jail for some bullshit. I think I got street cred, yo. Come on 19 hours? Nine suspensions kid. I'm bigger than Rick Ross right now," he said.

He even Tweeted, "50 Cent got shot 9 times. I got 9 suspensions on my license. #streetcred."

"19 hours of life gone. Jail sucks. I'm out. Smh. Had 9 suspensions on my license #streetcred," was his another Tweet
