Pop singer Lady Gaga has revealed via Twitter that dealing with her former assistant, Jennifer O'Neill's lawsuit against her is "painful stuff" since the assistant was her best friend since they were nineteen years old.
O'Neill dragged Gaga to the court seeking about $353,227 in damages accusing the 26-year-old pop star of not paying her overtime that amounted to more than 7000 hours.
Gaga explained her pain onTwitter, "Everyone's headlines need an updating. 'former assistant' is actually 'my best friend from NY since I was 19.' Painful stuff."
In a deposition in August 2012, the singer of hit single, "The Edge of Glory" had reportedly called O'Neill "f--king hood rat who is suing me for money that she didn't earn".
The Sun reports that Gaga had asked O'Neill to sleep with her since Gaga dreaded the idea of sleeping alone.
Though there was no sex involved, the assistant had no choice but to sleep with her, she claimed.
"Unlike anybody else on that tour, I did not have my own hotel room. I was not asked if I wanted my own hotel room. I had no privacy," said O'Neill.
Madonna Supports Kelly Osbourne In The Row Between Osbourne and Gaga
In the row between fashion designer and singer Kelly Osbourne and Lady Gaga, Madonna has taken Osbourne's side, reported Entertainmentwise.
Gaga had a row after Osbourne reportedly passed a comment on Gaga's weight that made Gaga's fans angry. Osbourne later said, "Lady Gaga's fans are the worst," October 2012.
Gaga used her social network LittleMonsters.com to attack Osbourne saying her E! Show promotes bullying.
Now magazine has reported that Madonna is supportive of Osbourne in this issue.
"Kelly's annoyed to be axed from Madonna and Lourdes' clothing range but she won't turn down an ally like Madge," said a source to Now Magazine.
