Beyonce definitely had fans everywhere anticipating her epic performance and there was no shocker that she executed and surprised the crowd with a performance with her girl group Destiny's Child.
Beyonce made sure to sing most of her hits such as: "Countdown," "Single Ladies," "Bootylicious," "Crazy In Love," and "Independent Woman." The pop star was rumored to bring out special guest for her halftime performance, but never dished out the details of the big surprise. Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams popped out of the stage from toasters surprising the viewers and the dome audience with a brief reunion before closing out her performance alone.
Humbled Beyonce finished the performance with her hit song "Halo" crawling on the stage and singing to the crowd that stood by her stage. When she was finished she smiled, "Thank y'all so much! Thank you for this moment, god bless y'all," she said as she blew kisses and bowed.
After her performance, the game resumed and a power outage delayed the game. People joked that Beyonce's performance used up all the energy in the New Orleans dome. Her husband Jay-Z greeted her backstage after her performance and joked about the power outage tweeting: "Lights out!!! Any questions??"
The mega star announced on her website how proud she was and the official name and date for her "The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour," that kicks off April 15 in Belgrade, Serbia. Mrs. Carter expressed her excitement for the African American women who dominated in performances throughout the night:
