Thanks to a shady gossip report by Hollywood Life, rumors are swirling that pop star Justin Timberlake referred to ex-girlfriend Britney Spears as a 'b##ch' at a DirectTV Super Bowl party on Feb. 2, before ripping into his hit tune "Cry Me a River." The former NSYNC singer recently hit up Twitter to deny such rumors, insist that everyone should just relax because he'd never disrespect someone by calling them a b##ch (that's right, not even his crazy ex).
According to Hollywood Life, Timberlake rocked the DirectTV pre-Super Bowl party on Saturday... performing his new hit track "Suit & Tie" with Jay-Z along with a slew of other new songs off of his upcoming album... oh, and he also allegedly called his former flame Spears "just some b##ch."
According to a Hollywood Life reporter who attended the event, 32-year-old Timberlake shouted out to fellow revelers during his performance, "Sometimes in life, you think you found the one. But then one day you find out, that she is just some bi##h!" He then proceeded to play his 2002 hit "Cry Me a River."
But according to JT, those words never came out of his mouth. On Sunday night (Feb. 3), Timberlake shot out this rather good-humored tweet:
@jtimberlake: "Ok. I see you. Wouldn't disrespect ANYONE personally. Ever. #Relax #ItsBritneyBitch I do love that saying though*with accent* #Respect."
So apparently that settles that.
Timberlake (who's now married to actress Jessica Biel) dated the 31-year-old "Toxic" songstress from 2000-2002 (the duo met as kids on the "New Mickey Mouse Club" show). After the highly-publicized breakup, Timberlake told Vanity Fair in June 2011:
"I wish her the best - that goes without saying. We haven't spoken in nine or ten years. We were two birds of the same feather -- small-town kids, doing same thing. But when you become adults, and the way you were as kids doesn't make any sense. I won't speak on her, but at least for me, I was a totally different person."
So what do Mstarz fans think... would JT really have the nerve to publically blast Spears as a "b##ch?"
