What does an NFL player do when his team loses the playoff game that determines who moves on to partake in Super Bowl XLVII? He parties it up in Las Vegas, of course! And that's exactly what New England Patriots tight-end Rob Gronkowski did... with a delicate broken forearm, nonetheless. TMZ reports that 23-year-old the "Gronk" broke it down dancing onstage at Las Vegas' XS nightclub late Sunday evening (Feb. 3)... he got so into the groove that he ended up body-slamming a fellow partier right to the ground. In the process, he landed on his broken arm - HARD - sending some Pats fans into cardiac arrest. But no worries, Gronkowski got right back up and continued dancing as if it were no big deal. Watch the amusing clip below.
Gronkowski, who broke his forearm last season, signed a whopping $54 million six-year NFL contract extension with the Patriots back in June. The University of Arizona alum then reinjured his arm during New England's first playoff game against the Houston Texans (the Pats won, but went on to lose against the Baltimore Ravens 28-13. The Ravens then went on to become Super Bowl champs against the San Francisco 49ers).
Anyway, Gronkowski decided to dance his losing-blues away on Super Bowl Sunday. He also found it appropriate to deliver a harsh "Stone Cold Stunner-esque" body slam to one of his friends while out on the Las Vegas dance floor... landing on his back and crushing his broken arm as a result. Check it out:
Thankfully, the Gronk was wearing a protective sleeve on his busted-up forearm, so there was no harm done. He got up and started flailing his arms around to let the crowd know that everything was cool.
Good thing for that, coach Bill Belichick would definitely not be amused...
