Danielle Milian Thanks Everyone for Prayers After Death of Newborn Son, Richie Bear

It is a sad day in the Milian household. MStars News has learned that Christina Milian's sister, Danielle lost her newborn son, Richie Bear just hours after he was born. Following his short time on earth, Danielle thanked everyone for their love, support and prayers.

In the Instagram message, the heartbroken mother wrote, "Yesterday I was blessed with the birth of my Richie Bear. Unfortunately, last night he took his place with the Lord and we said goodbye. I so appreciate the prayers and support from everyone. He touched my heart and was perfect in so many ways."

Her older sister, Christina also grieved and wrote a long message about how her family has been doing with the loss.

"The last 24 hours have been an emotional roller coaster but i'd like to thank everyone for being so supportive throughout my sister Danielle & Richard's pregnancy," the singer wrote as she shared an image of her nephews little foot.

"The both of them have shown the true measure of courage and faith for the last 9 months and I can't praise them more," she continued. "Our family was blessed to have met our little Angel Baby Richie. We were fighting for him and with him the whole way and are now coping with the direction in which fate took."

Christina's statement continued, "I ask that you keep him and our entire family in your prayers-- Especially Danielle, Richard, Naomi & Dj and know that we've all been touched by our little Guardian Angel. His memory will forever live on in our thoughts and our hearts. May he now rest in peace in the arms of our Heavenly Father . [blue heart emoji] stay blessed," Lil Wayne's girlfriend ended.

MStars News previously reported that baby Richie was diagnosed omphalocele, which is when the organs form outside of the body.

"The tech said, 'I can't see the sex...because I am seeing...intestines,'" Danielle recalled, "I was told there's almost a 53 percent chance of mortality."

The doctors advised her and her husband, Richard Dickerson, to terminate their third pregnancy but they opted to give Richie a chance at life.

"I said to [Richard], 'Could you live with this?' Because I know can. I know I could be in a hospital every day," she previously said. "As a mother, I will do whatever it takes for my child...No matter how long he has in this world, I could not imagine taking his chance away."

The Milian's other sister; Elizabeth took to Instagram as well and expressed how proud she was of her strong sister.

"My sister is the strongest woman I know. Words cannot express the sadness and pain flowing through my heart," Liz wrote. "Little Richie was truly a blessing and he filled the world with light the moments he was here on earth. I know he is truly in a better place and his memories will be a blessing for us all. I love u my little trooper and I love you @danielle_milian my warrior queen."

This isn't the first time the Milians faced the horrible diagnosis of omphalocele. In a past interview with US Magazine, Danielle revealed that her niece, whose 15 years old now had the same situation. It's still understandable why the Milians would want to give baby Richie a shot at living. Baby Richie's stomach, liver, spleen and gallbladder were exposed while growing inside of the womb, and then when he was born.

It appeared that the family were gearing up for the special arrival of baby Richie. In the video clip uploaded by the newborn's dad, Richard Dickerson, it showed the couple at the hospital practicing labor and delivery.

Fans first learned that Danielle and Richard were expecting again on their hit reality TV show, Christina Milian Turned Up!

The E! show captured everything in the Milian family's life including the ups and downs of Danielle's role as a mother. Her kids and husband were a major part of the show as parenting took over having a career when it came to helping her big sister, Christina out as a stylist.
