Back by popular demand, Fox has plans underway for the return of the iconic sci-fi/horror series. In the revival of The X-Files, will paranormal investigators Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) need God (Burt Reynolds)'s help?
As we previously mentioned, 13 years have passed since FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully were on the TV screen solving weird and supernatural cases. The reboot of Fox's popular sci-fi series continues with 6 brand new episodes. Not only are the leads set to reprise their iconic roles, creator Chris Carter will takeover as showrunner for the franchise that launched his and many other careers.
According to Comic Book, the Smokey and Bandit actor was asked during the Wizard World Comic Convention in Chicago what anecdote he remembered from his guest appearance on the show. In the humorous episode, Improbable, which was written by and directed by Carter, Scully and agent Monica Reyes (Annabeth Gish)were chasing after a serial killer when they met with God (Reynolds), who tested their beliefs in fate, free will, and numerology.
Reynolds answered, "I don't really remember too much about it. I don't know whether it was a time when I was imbibing and something, but I don't remember it."
But if the opportunity did arise to reprise his role, the Boogie Nights actor responded, "But I know it's a very good show. And I'd like to do it again if they still remember me."
As we mentioned before, with Agent Reyes (Gish) returning in one of the episode, is there a probability we might see Gator back as well?
