Season 5 of Suits aired its summer finale on USA Network. In episode 6 through 10, this is the perfect opportunity to check out how Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) dealt with the aftermath of Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty)'s split.
As we previously mentioned, Harvey (Macht) wasn't doing so well when Donna made her decision to leave him. To make matters worse, Donna left Harvey and them became Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman)'s secretary. Though Donna has made her choice, Harvey and Louis have become bitter enemies, just when a bigger threat, Daniel Hardman (David Costabile), is planning to hit the firm with all he's got.
Check out our 5 thoughts on episodes 6 through 10 of Suits:
5) That Fight!
In Hitting Home, the truth came out as Louis Litt discovered his sister Ester (Amy Acker) had slept with Harvey, even though he asked him not to. Harvey realized he was cheating on Louis with his sister, but that didn't matter when the fists came flying. Louis and Harvey ended up trading punches at each other, before Litt ended up crashing through a glass table.
4) The Return Of The Big Bad
In Toe to Toe, while Harvey was punching the lights out of Travis Tanner (Eric Close), Jessica could smell Daniel Hardman all over Jack Soloff. These five episodes focused on the return of Hardman (Costabile), who was using Jack as his reluctant puppet. Even when Harvey and Louis thought they could outsmart him, Daniel was always one step ahead of them.
3) She Ruined Everything!
Just when you thought Mike and Rachel (Meghan Markle) were going to have a wonderful wedding, here comes Claire (Troian Bellisario) to ruin it all. In Mea Culpa, Claire returned and forced the romantic couple to rethink their wedding plans if their marriage is going to based on lies and secrets. Who else loved those scenes between Rachel (Markle) and Claire (Bellisario)?
2) You Don't Mess With Jessica!
The writers on this show just love giving Jessica (Gina Torres) the best lines. In Uninvited Guests, remember when Jessica told to Jack Soloff (John Pyper-Ferguson) to come to Jesus? Talk about that glare Jessica gives! You're lucky if Jessica just chews you up and spits you out!
1) That Ending!
In the summer finale, Faith, my personal favorite of the ten episodes, Mike confessed to Father Walker his sins and his fear of losing Rachel. In order to save Jessica, Harvey had to resign first before he could strike back against Jack Soloff and Daniel Hardman. After he handed in his resignation papers, Mike was placed under arrest by the police. Twitter was up in flames over that cliffhanger ending!
The fifth season of Suits will continue in the winter on USA.
