FX's 'The Strain' Season 2 Recap: Episode 8: Will Corey Stoll, Mia Maestro Fight "Intruders?"

The Season 2 of The Strain continues on FX. Based on Guillermo Del Toro's bestselling novels, published by Dark Horse Comics, in Episode 8, are Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll) and Nora Martinez (Mia Maestro) ready to fight The Intruders?

Thomas Eichhorst (Richard Sammel) teaches Kelly Goodweather (Natalie Brown) how to put on makeup, wear a wig, and speak with her voice. With contacts in her eyes, Thomas wants Kelly to look like the mother Zach cries for.

Vasiliy Fet (Kevin Durand) and eph are talking about how to kill Eldritch Palmer (Jonathan Hyde). Fet may actually know someone who has the skills. Palmer wakes up next to Coco in his bed. Though Coco wants to be involved, Palmer tries to protect her. Mia wakes up and questions Eph about Barnes' death. 

Passing through a quarantine site, Abraham (David Bradley) advises Vasiliy to back in the game and forget about Dutch. Zach (Max Charles) tells his father about the dream he had about his mother. Zach and Eph end up in a standoff with a frightened woman. 

Eph then meets a wounded man and attempts to get the bullet out of him. Palmer is trying to make a deal from a collector to get the Lumen Occido,but there are other parties interested in the ancient text. After forcing Coco to leave, Eichorst and Palmer argue about timetables. Palmer mocks Eichorst that The Master chose a washed-up rock star to be his vessel. 

Talking about God, Gus (Miguel Gomez) and silver Angel (Joaquin Cosio) are on the road when they discover the restaurant boarded up. Abraham meets with the Cardinal and matches Palmer's deal. They warn the Cardinal that Palmer is spying on him and his rank won't save him. 

Abraham and Fet now how to rob the Cardinal before Palmer does. During the operation, Eph makes the first incision. With her makeup and contacts on, Kelly manages to pass the quarantine zone with the Feelers in the trunk. 

Eph finishes up the operation and gets the rifle. Zach though still believes there is a chance to save his mother. As Kelly continues to track Zach's scent, Gus and Angel get the restaurant owners to leave. After Gus gets a kiss, he gets a visit from Quinlan (Rupert Penry-Jones). 

Quinlan and Gus talk about killing The Master, but they don' work for the Ancient Ones. Knowing innocent lives are in danger, Gus is back on the job. Eichorst meets with the Cardinal. As the Cardinal prays, Abraham and Fet fight off Eichorst. 

The Cardinal gives up the location of the book before Abraham chops off his head. After a yelling match. Coco decides to leave Palmer.  While Eph and Nora argue, Kelly discovers Zach in their hideout. 

After Eph reveals he's responsible for four deaths, Kelly knocks on the window, getting Zach's attention. After Zach unlocks the door, Eph grabs him as Nora starts shooting. With the feelers in the room, Eph manages to take one of them out. 

Eph and Nora manage to gang up on her before Kelly runs out the building.
