Michael Jordan's Tune Squad 'Space Jam' Jersey for Sale, Up for Auction Priced at $10K!

Michael Jordan's "Tune Squad" uniform, the one he wore during the filming of the live-action movie mixed with animation costarring the Looney Tunes from the 1996 movie Space Jam, is going up for auction. The bidding of the jersey is set to start at $10,000 and will begin on Oct. 1, 2015 according to Yahoo! Sports.

The uniform consists of Jordan's jersey (size XL), which is of AIS brand mesh, colored white with red, white and blue-trim. The front of the jersey showcases the "Tune Squad" logo, and Jordan's signature number 23 is on the back in blue with red-trim. The uniform also comes with the matching pair of shorts, size 38, with the "Tune Squad" logo on the right leg. It's the on-screen worn uniform so signs of wear and minor staining will probably be apparent! This is probably also why the starting bid is $10,000.

The auction will take place online through the online auction house, Invaluable.

Basketball fans of the '90s, could potentially have the best Halloween costume, considering the auction will take place right before Halloween, but only if they've got 10 grand to spare. According to Huffington Post, the final sale price is expected to reach $15,000.

For the non-basketball fans out there who don't understand the importance of this event, Space Jam was the 1996 hit hybrid live-action/animation basketball comedy starring Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes. Space Jam was how Jordan made his comeback to the Chicago Bulls and won two more championships before retiring from Basketball for good. To this day, Space Jam remains the highest-grossing basketball movie! It's also been subject to a sequel for a very long time, though this is still just a rumor.
