Metallica To Sing National Anthem For the San Francisco Giants Versus Los Angeles Dodgers Game, May 3

Fans of Heavy metal band Metallica and San Francisco Giants will have a special night come May 3. The band reside in the Bay Area, their support for Sans Francisco Giants is natural.

There will be a special Metallica Night at the game. The band will be singing the national anthem May 3 and will also be throwing the ceremonial first pitch, reported UltimateClassicRock.

The special night will have a Metallica-themed entertainment. There are Special Event Ticket Packages, where fans who buy them will be getting a special-edition cap that will have both Metallica and Giants logos in the team's orange-and-black color scheme.  

The giants will be playing against their arch rivals, Los Angeles Dodgers. The rivalry goes back to their New York days, when they were based there.

The proceeds from the special night will go to the Bill Graham Foundation. The foundation will give "grants primarily in the areas of music, the arts and education, while also supporting social work, environmental protection, and spiritual and compassionate projects in our community," said its website.
