Who is 'The Muppets' Kermit the Frog's new Girlfriend Denise? [DETAILS]

I looks like we are learning more details on Kermit the Frog's new girlfriend, Denise. In the new Muppets series on ABC, Miss Denise is making a name for herself, and appears to be more hip and younger than Miss Piggy.

Everyone was heartbroken to learn that Kermit and Miss Piggy hit splits-ville back in August. The couple had a romantic relationship for over 40 years. That's four decades and a lot of generations!

Kermit previously stated that the two parted ways because "we discovered we had different important stuff." He explained, "There were certain things that I wanted in my life, she was a little different. I don't really crave the spotlight in the same way...it was a lot of years of dealing with that."

According to Hollywood Unlocked, there is a lot of positive things that Denise will bring to the table including the fact that she cooks! But being young doesn't mean that she has the same success as Miss Piggy. Take a look at the comparison below.

Denise seems like a typical struggling woman and appears to be not abusive, while Miss Piggy is. After Miss Piggy and Kermit ended their relationship, many people wondered if the two would still be working together. According to People, the former lovebirds are still working as a team on Miss Piggy's late-night talk show Up Late with Miss Piggy. Parts of that show and Kermit's breakup with the star will all be documented on the upcoming ABC series, The Muppets.

As for the rookie, Denise, she makes sure to check up on her man and visit the set of Up Late where he continues to work with his ex. "She's always stopping by the set of Up Late," the source claimed about the new pig in town. Kermit makes it clear of his new status and refers to Denise as "his girlfriend." As for Miss Piggy's relationship status, she seems to have hit it off with Hunger Games actor, Liam Hemsworth.

Hemsworth and Denise will be guest stars on The Muppets premiering Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
