Emma Watson Defends Kristen Stewart:Harry Potter Star Stands Up for "Trampire," Says "Everyone Makes Mistakes"

Emma Watson recently shared her personal feelings on the media coverage of Kristen Stewart's exploits, labeling her a "Trampire." The Harry Potter star feels that the media should leave the Twilight star alone. Watson is a beloved actress and is highly respected in the media since she is rarely causing much commotion. Stewart recently stirred up the tabloids with an affair with director Rupert Sanders while filming Snow White and The Huntsman. Clearly the two are viewed differently, so Emma's defense of Stewart comes as a bit of a shock and also a step towards redemption for Kristen.

Usually one to keep her opinions to herself, Emma's statement about such a controversial scandal surprised the media. Her defense of the Twilight star and her actions are evident in the following statement:

"Those who criticized her are the same people that think that being rich and famous is like being covered in some kind of magic powder that makes life perfect: Nothing can go wrong in your wonderful world. For these people, Kristen deserves all the bad things that have been thrown at her because she had an amazing life and she ruined it. I don't know how to explain it, but it sure isn't perfect. I thought that the media picked on her in a very horrible way. Kristen is human, just like everybody else, and she's so young. Everyone makes mistakes, everyone. It's not fair to consider them matters of public interest. On one hand, I can understand why it happened: people felt really involved in her relationship with Robert Pattinson. But it's also true that they both have done everything in their power to keep their relationship as far from the public eye as possible."

The negative press for Stewart started when paparazzi photos spread over the Internet showing her and the then-married Rupert Sanders "getting intimate" on the set of Snow White and The Huntsman. Stewarts became enraged at the news of her betrayal of Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson. The dream couple split up but have since reconciled. On top of the backlash from fans, Stewart experienced numerous harsh attacks all over the media world. She was even given the nickname "Trampire." Hopefully with the support of such a likable young actress as Watson, Kristen Stewart can keep moving on from the bad press and controversy. Actress Jodie Foster has also come to the defense of Stewart regarding the "Trampire" issue.
