The only "Deadline Day" signing for Chelsea is that of Papy Djibodji, a Senegal footballer formerly of Nantes. We expect him to round out the defense for manager Jose Mourinho (viaThe Daily Mail).
Juventus apparently wasn't ready to release the star player, so Chelsea has to try again later. But will they bid enough to convince Pogba and the team?
"As we want to win, we have decided to keep hold of a player as important as Pogba, although we have had offers from some very important clubs," Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta told SkySports (via Bleacher Report). "In the future he could be worth more than 100m euros. We've lost the likes of Pirlo, Tevez and Vidal, three irreplaceable players, against our will and replacing them isn't easy."
If you were part of Juventus, would you let Pogba go?
Meanwhile, The Daily Mail claims the deal for Pogba didn't work because he turned down the bid after Juventus accepted! That could mean another offer would be moot in the future.
