Frank Ocean Gay Confession, 6 Grammy Nominations, Alleged Model Boyfriend Willy Cartier To Show Up?

One of the Grammys 2013 night's biggest nominee is newcomer Frank Ocean who has been nominated in six categories for his album Channel Orange. Prior to the release of his album in 2012, the R&B singer confessed to falling in love with a man on his blog which sparked rumors that he is gay.

Though Ocean never stated explicitly about his sexual orientation, his story helped raise awareness of homophobia in the hip hop community. According to Advocate, R&B artist Chris Brown threw a homophobic insult at Frank Ocean.

However, top stars including Beyonce revealed her support for his coming out. She even posted a poem on a black and white photo that stated, "Be fearless. Be honest. Be generous. Be brave. Be poetic. Be open. Be free. Be yourself. Be in love. Be happy. Be inspiration."

Despite the sensation surrounding Ocean's sexuality, when his album was released, it received critical acclaim for the music. Channel Orange reached the #2 spot on Billboard when released.

Over the past few months, there were a few hints that Ocean may have found love with a French model named Willy Cartier. According to CBS Local, Ocean and Cartier were photographed together on the red carpet for a GQ Man of The Year Event. It could just turn out to be a professional relationship. Until Ocean confirms, we're all on our toes.
