'RHONY' Heather Thomson Talks Ashley Madison Scandal, Leaving Bravo Show

Real Housewives of New York (RHONY) star Heather Thomson recently announced her departure from the hit Bravo show, but she took the time to discuss the shocking cheating scandal involving costar Kristen Taekman and her husband Josh Taekman.  In the hacking scandal and release of names and credit card information from cheating site Ashley Madison, one of the identities found on the site was Kristen's spouse. He later admitted to joining the online service, but only as a joke with a group of friends. Heather has been friends with the couple and assures fans that they are not breaking up.

"What Josh has said is it was a silly thing to do, and he's so regretful he hurt his family," Heather told Entertainment Tonight. "They're not getting divorced over it -- let's put it that way. Their marriage is totally going to survive because Kristen knows her husband and believes him to. When you're a cheater -- he's just never been that guy. Josh has always been a really stand-up guy. ... Josh is a good guy."

"The Ashley Madison thing is unfortunate because Josh is completely innocent," the RHONY star told Us Weekly. "If you knew Josh the way I know him, you'd be completely like, 'Of course he would sign up for that with this buddies!' That's a total Josh thing to do! He has a very fraternity side to him that I love."

The fashion designer also took time out to talk to ET about her reasons for leaving the cable series that made her famous, which include wanting to focus more on her brand Yummie by Heather Thomson.

"The reality of it that I just can't do it anymore," she said. "I have to focus on the things that are really, really important in my life and that's my family and my business. While I'm filming the show I also am running a multi-million dollar business, and it takes away a lot of my time from the company."

This season was a drama filled one for Heather. She clashed with many of her fellow "housewives" especially the franchise's biggest star Bethenny Frankel. On a trip to the tropical destination of Turks & Caicos, Heather accused the Skinnygirl maven of being a "know-it-all."
