Kurt Angle surprised the wrestling world when he left the WWE for TNA in the mid-2000's. In his stint there the Wrestling Machine went to war with the likes of Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and Sting. These were dream matches that otherwise would've never happened if he stayed in WWE. That stint with TNA wrestling is coming to an end though as Angle announced to Mark Madden's radio show in Pittsburgh that he won't be resigning with the company. On top of this news Angle claimed he would not be returning to the WWE.

With the expiration of his contract he'll be taking a break from the wrestling world. Of course, this is what Angle first said when he left WWE. Not long after that he was TNA bound and started up a war with NXT's current star Samoa Joe.
Back in July Angle gave us hints that his career might be coming to a close when he announced on his official website that he'd consider facing Daniel Bryan in a retirement match. He said it would be the proper opponent for his illustrious career because Bryan is "Shawn Michaels reborn."
"Epic matches in the future? The first that comes to mind is Daniel Bryan," Angle said. "He is Shawn Michaels reborn. I would love to retire against a wrestler I believe has won over the hearts of millions of fans. How did he win their hearts? He's that good. Give me 30 minutes with Daniel Bryan and I will give you the match of the century."
At this point in time it seems like that dream match can only be a dream. Bryan is out for an indefinite period of time due to injury and then you'd have to factor in the contract negotiations between WWE and Angle. Everything has to go right.
