Carrie Underwood is denying any and all rumors about having a feud with fellow country pop singer Taylor Swift, specifically the alleged drama at the Grammy Awards. Sources started the gossip with a report stating that the singers did not want to cross paths at the awards ceremony and called ahead to Grammy executives to make sure it did not happen. Underwood says that "sources" or "friends" are just a way to legitimize rumors that she does not think are true. Swift opened Sunday night's ceremony with her hit "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and Underwood took home 2 awards for her single, "Blown Away."

In an interview with "CBS This Morning," Gayle King asked the singer if there was any proof to a conflict with Swift. The 29-year-old former “American Idol” star answered:

"No. Not that I know of, at least.”

She added that she enjoys the 23-year-old Swift’s newer number “If I Knew You Were Trouble,” adding:

"It sounded a lot different for her. I liked the branching out, kind of trying some different sounds.”

Not only did Underwood deny the rumors, but the Grammy executives who were apparently informed of the two “hating” each other and therefore needing to be separate on the red carpet, have also refuted the tale. A Grammy Awards spokesperson stated that "no requests were received from either artist."

Carrie Underwood also drew a lot of attention at the Grammy Awards for her attire. The singer was sporting a $31 million diamond necklace paired with a black dress and only took it off for her performance of "Blown Away" and "Two Black Cadillacs." She also changed into a white gown, which had pictures projected onto it while she sang. The necklace was a Jonathan Arndt piece and was 381 carats.

Taylor Swift has yet to be asked about the feud rumors, but she did turn a lot of heads at Sunday's show as well. She was an energetic audience member for every performance that night, singing along and dancing. Unfortunately she stirred up some controversy with her opening number, apparently calling out her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles during a spoken-word bridge. Never far from the tabloids, Swift seems to enjoy the negative publicity involved with her career so maybe a feud is not too hard to conceive. Perhaps the singer will embrace the claims and run with them or maybe she will come out and deny them just as Carrie Underwood did. Even better, maybe we can get a collaboration out of the two soon.
