Kid Cudi could be joining the cast of the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens film, as the "Pursuit of Happiness" revealed he auditioned for the film. The musician has been stepping much more heavily into the movie scene, having been one of the stars of the Entourage movie that released earlier this year. Cudi is now waiting to hear back as to whether he may be added to the cast of the highly-anticipated Star Wars movie.
After a fan wrote to him on Twitter that he should have a role in the J.J. Abrams movie, Cudi revealed that he actually auditioned for a part on his own time.
"I auditioned!! That whole experience alone was WILD. Happy I was able to get in the room and try! Blessed,” he wrote back to the eager fan.
The fan wrote to him on the role after Cudi tweeted his excitement about Kylo Ren, the movie’s top villain, which the singer has been showing his huge fandom for a lot in the past. Some of his music has reportedly been inspired by some of the movies as well.
On top of landing a lead role in the Entourage movie, Cudi has also starred in the Need For Speed film, as well as an episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and How To Make It In America.
Cudi is taking on tons of ventures on his plate, as he is currently working on his fifth studio album, Speedin’ Bullet To Heaven, which should be releasing sometime in the near future. He already released his brand new single “Confused” last month, which is the first one off of his upcoming album.
It will certainly be an interesting mix-in if Cudi does land a role in the new Star Wars movie, but fans will just have to wait and see what happens.
