Kanye West has finished his end of the plea deal in the paparazzi battery case, as the "All Day" rapper has completed extra hours of community service. The superstar producer previously pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery back in March 2014 for attacking a member of the paparazzi at LAX airport. He was ordered to complete 250 hours of community service by assisting classes for the Los Angeles Trade Technical College’s fashion design program.
According to reports, Yeezy completed a total of 262 hours by working with the program, exceeding to court-ordered amount in his plea deal. The dean of the school also penned a letter to the judge on behalf of West, complimenting his work for the program.
“The contribution of the hands-on community service Mr. West has completed with our school has been of great benefit to our students and program,” the note read.
West started his community service hours with the school even just two months after he settled the battery case with Daniel Ramos, which was said to include an apology as well. His dedication to working at the school even led him to deliver a graduation speech there this past May. Yeezy is also reportedly going to be on informal probation for a few more months, with the case coming to a close next year if no future incidents are reported from West.
Currently, the rapper is in New York City for Fashion Week, as he is presenting his Yeezy Season 2 clothing line in a special presentation later today. Fans and supporters have been racing to RSVP for screenings of the presentation in many cities all over the country, with a select few being chosen to attend. The line has already been previewed online, and quickly sold out on its website earlier this month, with prices for each item being controversially high to many customers and fans.
