Katy Perry And John Mayer Engagement Rumors Spark After She Is Seen With A Heart-Shaped Ruby Ring On Her Finger

Is singer John Mayer ready to take the next step and make his relationship with singer Katty Perry official?

Singer Katy Perry was spotted wearing a heart-shaped ruby ring on her ring finger. She was seen going out for dinner with Mayer, her Valentine's Day date. This sparked rumors that the couple, who have been dating for some months now, might have been secretly engaged.

The couple went to Vicenti in Brentwood for their special dinner. Perry was wearing a red floral print dress.

An insider told HollywoodLife that the couple are not yet engaged. "They aren't engaged and I wouldn't anticipate to see them engaged anytime soon. It was purchased by John over a week ago in Montecito," said an insider.

Mayer had revealed to CBS last weekend about his intensions of getting married, he said, "I mean, I'm still the kid from Connecticut. That's what you do."

TMZ reported that the couple probably booked the historic Vista Theatre in East Hollywood for the night as they did not see anyone either going in or coming out till the couple was there. The movie that was being shown was "A Good Day to Die Hard" but Perry was holding on to a DVD that might be indicative that they watched some other movie perhaps.
