Malia Obama Dating?: President Barack Obama Breaks the News that His Eldest Daughter Is Dating, "First Boyfriend Watch" Starts

Malia Obama has apparently joined the world of dating according to a very credited source: her father, President Barack Obama. The 14-year-old Malia is now a teenager and her father understands that certain things come along with this age period. The President recently addressed his daughters' "coming of age" during a stop in Georgia on Thursday where he was pushing his education plan:

"I do have to warn the parents who are here, who still have young kids, they grow up to be, like five feet 10 inches. And even if they're still nice to you, they basically don't have a lot of time for you during the weekends. They have sleepovers and dates. So all that early investment just leaves them to go away."

The President was talking about Malia and 11-year-old Sasha, but he was most likely alluding to his eldest daughter. White House officials have turned down requests for comments and clarifications on what Barack Obama meant in regards to his statement. Regardless, it seems like the media will be all over this "First Boyfriend watch." Do not expect too many revelations in the media, though. There is an unwritten rule that keeps the Obama girls out of the media as much as possible. Hopefully this article is not a conflict of this rule. For now, start your speculations but do not get ahead of yourself.

Last month, Barack and his wife Michelle sat down with People magazine to discuss their marriages influence on their daughters' future love lives. The President stated:

"The great thing about the girls is they've got a wonderful role model in their mom. They've seen how Michelle and I interact - not only the love but also respect that I show to their mom. So I think they have pretty high expectations about how relationships should be, and that gives me some confidence about the future,"

Barack Obama also shared the following with radio host Ryan Seacrest:

"Michelle is very good about making sure that we're creating a space for them where they can have sleepovers. They can go to the mall. They can go to the movies. They're going to homecomings at their school."
