It's official, Black Eyed Peas songstress Fergie is pregnant! Rumors have been swirling the past few weeks that the 37-year-old pop star has been attempting to cover up a growing baby bump with baggy clothing, and Fergie finally confirmed the baby news on Twitter on Monday (Feb. 18). This will be Fergie and hubby Josh Duhamel first child.
Monday afternoon, Fergie sent out this happy tweet and Twitpic:
@Fergie: "Josh & Me & BABY makes three!!! #mylovelybabybump."
The adorable photo features a baby Fergie superimposed with an image of the "Safe Haven" star as a youngster. And little Fergie's pet cat:
According to an inside source for Us Weekly, "They just found out and tweeted it to the world." Duhamel shared the same message via his Twitter and Facebook accounts.
The couple married in 2009, and recently suggested that they're definitely ready to start a family. During an interview for "Oprah's Next Chapter" back in October, Duhamel said that he wanted a total of five children. Fergie talked that baby number down to two.
According to Duhamel, "[Fergie and I] grew up in very similar ways... My mother was a teacher. Both of her parents were teachers. We both had to work for what we got. We're both Catholic. There were a lot of things that were really compatible between us. But at the end of the day, she's just an amazing girl."
A "covered-up" Fergie was spotted shopping in L.A. prior to Super Bowl Sunday, prompting rumors that she was attempting to hide a baby bump. So guess the rumors are true! Read more on that story here.
Congrats to the happy couple on the exciting baby news!!
