Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood reality star, Miles says coming out with boyfriend, Milan Christopher was an issue because he feared what his church and family may think of him.
In an interview with VH1, the reality star says he has three strikes against him and said he know he's going to have a hard time in Hip Hop, in his church and with his family.
"Being raised in the church and being a god fearing, god-loving black man in Hip Hop has definitely have me high in my feelings and hold them inside and harbor them for so long because I never wanted to disappoint my church, my family, my black community," he told the cameras.
The aspiring rapper's main concern for coming out with his boyfriend is that his whole life would be effected negatively, "I didn't know how I would be viewed, looked at. Certain people may not want to f*ck with me." He added, "It's definitely hard being a black man raised in the church, you're disappointing so many people. You're disappointing your family, you're disappointing your church, you're disappointing your friends. It's just having the whole stigma of living in your truth of telling what you are when it come to this situation (he points to his crotch)."
In a one-on-one, he told Hazel his fears before taking the leap and getting his and his lover's initials tattooed on him. Miles tried to explain that their relation started off on a sexual basis, "In the beginning I wanted to believe for myself that it was just sexual, like I never really imagined myself being in a relationship with another man," he said that Milan knew about their secret sexual relationship since they began, "He knew about this since day one. He knows about my religion, he knows about my family, he knows I was raised in the church. I was the youth pastor. I led these youth at my church. How they gonna look at me now that I'm laying with another man."
