According to All Hip Hop News, BET will air a previously unseen Stevie Wonder concert on March 3.

The concert, which originally took place on October 24, 2012, was part of the 67th anniversary celebration of the United Nations.  The event was headlined by Wonder but also included other music legends such as Wyclef Jean and Sting. Up and coming acts such as Janelle Monae and Ellie Varner will also be featured.

The televised event, titled Stevie Wonder with Friends: Celebrating a Message of Peace is being produced by BET Networks and Wonder Productions. Malcom-Jamal Warner is stepping into the role of emcee.

The 22-time Grammy winner described the night as "spirited and fun" in a press release from BET. In that same release the CEO and Chairman of BET Debra Lee explained why Stevie Wonder is the perfect choice for a concert about peace.

Beyond his incredible music career, Stevie Wonder has consistently used his voice to create a better and more peaceful world," said Lee.

Wonder has always been an advocate for peace, making a name for himself in the world of philanthropy and activism as well as in music. Wonder's previous efforts include the push to make Martin Luther King, Jr. Day a national holiday, the struggle against apartheid in South Africa and work with numerous charities and organizations representing the disabled around the world.

More recently, he has spoken out against actions of other musicians like Lil' Wayne. Wonder denounced the New Orleans rapper for a line referencing Emmett Till-the teenager who was brutally murdered during the Civil Rights Movement in 1955- in the remix of Future's "Karate Chop".

"Imagine if that happened to your mother, brother, daughter or your son. How would you feel? Have some discernment before we say certain things. That goes for me or any other writer," said Wonder.
