Harry Styles was one of the many blown away by ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift's performance of "I Knew You Were Trouble," last night at the 2013 BRIT Awards. For the "break-up" anthem reportedly written about Styles, the 23-year-old songstress walked out in a white, wedding-style dress for about half of the performance. She then rips off the dress to reveal a much skimpier number with a bustier-style top and gold-tipped boots. London's O2 Arena erupted and the One Direction star could not help but marvel at the spectacle as he was seen smiling during the show.
The 19-year-old Styles and the rest of One Direction also performed last night, sing their new charity single "One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks)" on a giant pinball machine. The sensational pop group also took home the award for BRITs Global Success, beating out Adele and Mumford & Sons. Taylor Swift was nominated for the award for International Female Solo Artist but lost to Lana Del Ray.
During the Sony and Belvedere after-party, Styles was asked to comment on Swift's performance by Us Weekly, and he responded, "Great! She always puts on a good show." Luckily this comment did not make for an awkward moment for Harry's date since he brought his mother. Most of his time was spent with his best friend Nick Grimshaw with no sing of the other One Direction mates. According to actress Kate Hudson who was in attendance with her fiancé, Matt Bellamy of Muse, "He was only there for about 30 minutes but he spent time chatting with a bunch of girls I don't think he knew." The Muse singer added, "He was drinking one of the cocktails -- he was just his cheery self. He's got great hair!" Classic Bellamy.
Swift on the other hand attended the "Universal Brits Party following the awards ceremony. Se turned heads in a tight yet modest black dress as she mingled with fellow attendees Ellie Goulding, Jeremy Irvine, Frank Ocean, and Marcus Mumford and his wife, actress Carey Mulligan. Everyone is saying that Swift's fashion choices tonight were all in hopes of making Harry jealous. Did he notice what he is missing? From the looks of it, Styles seems to be moving on while trying not to stir up any controversy. Maybe Taylor will start moving on as well once she realizes her ex is not exactly pining over his loss.
