The famed "Queen of Pop" & newest American Idol judge, Mariah Carey, released her latest single on Feb. 19th, 'Almost Home' which will be featured in the new Disney film Oz: The Great and Powerful.
As described by an ENews article:
The up-tempo track features Carey's signature powerhouse vocals and an electro-pop beat. The American Idol judge belts out inspirational lyrics on the movie's musical anthem, perfectly paying homage to Dorothy and the classic tale.
Produced by Norwegian duo Stargate, "Almost Home" is Mariah's first single since her 2011 release of Triumphant (Get 'EM) featuring Rick Ross & Meek Mill. Her new album is anticipated to drop sometime in March of 2013 in addition to the music video premeire of "Almost Home," which will be released with the Disney movie on March 7th.
With over 100 songs, 16 albums, and 18 number one hits, (according to Billboard) Mariah Carey's name has been at the top of the Pop and R&B charts for the past two decades. Although her recent songs haven't been as dominating as her classic 90's vocal masterpieces, Mariah tries her best to remain in the spotlight and doesn't plan to shy away from it anytime soon.
Could "Almost Home" be the single to send Mariah back home to the top of the charts where she belongs?
