Earlier this week, Jepsen released some behind the scenes photos of the music video shoot on her Facebook page. The photo album received over 20,000 "likes" and built up anticipation for today's release. How is this video going to look? What is the plot? Who is this guy? A lot of questions arose out of these shots, making fans bit their nails for today. Another promotion for the release of this music video was done through Carly's Instagram account. For the last 4 days, specialized photos were posted as a countdown to today. ENOUGH already! Here it the music video for Carly Rae Jepsen's "Tonight I'm Getting Over You!"
Apparently the release of this music video was not enough hype for Carly Rae. Just yesterday she announced a YouTube "lyric video" contest for "Tonight I'm Getting Over You." Basically fans can make there own music video for the single with the lyrics throughout in order to enter the contest. Accompanied by the following photo, Jepsen wrote on her website and Instagram post:
I enjoyed all of your "This Kiss" lyric videos so much, I want you guys to create the lyric video for my new single Tonight I'm Getting Over You too!
To enter all you have to do is create your lyric video for Tonight I'm Getting Over You, upload it to YouTube with "Tonight I'm Getting Over You Lyric Video Entry" in the title and then tweet the link with #CarlyTIGOYLyricVideo by the deadline of 11:59pm on March 21, 2013.

Her last music video for "This Kiss" has done very well on YouTube. On top of garnering countless fan-made videos, "This Kiss" has over 15 million views on YouTube. Jepsen's video before that was the enormously popular "Call Me Maybe," which has almost 409 million views. Her official YouTube page has many behind the scenes and interview videos as well. Those have a ton of views as well. So how will "Tonight I'm Getting Over You" stack up against all her other videos? Will this be another gigantic hit? It is pretty much safe to say that Carly Rae Jepsen's latest music video will get million and millions of views over the next few months. So what do you think?
