Trevor Noah has hit some pretty threatening issues since replacing Jon Stewart on The Daily Show, and Monday night's show was no different. In the wake of the shootings at Oregon's Umpqua Community College, what followed from politicians was the usual conversation of mental health care v. gun control. But to Noah, he wishes the ones on the pro-life side were more about actually being pro-life when it came to guns.
Claiming that it's "amazing" to see what the pro-lifers have been able to get done in their quest to end abortions in the United States, Noah dared to ask the question of what would happened if they put their efforts in a place "where the facts are actually on their side."
You know, on something like gun control.
"Imagine if we could bring some of that pro-life passion into being more, well, pro-life," he said.
The host then claimed that instead of getting reactions from the right – yes, if you haven't garnered, he was mainly talking about the GOP – such as Jeb Bush's in which he claimed "stuff happens" no matter what regulations we apply, we'd get more emotional, pro-life, human responses.
In his fight for gun control, Noah called out the likes of Republican presidential hopefuls Bush and Carly Fiorina, showing comments the two made on the incident, and flashing back to remarks they have made about being pro-life.
In both cases, they were significantly different.
