Once again, Chicago Bulls' shooting guard, Jimmy Butler is clearing up rumors created by the media regarding any beef between he and the star point guard, Derrick Rose.
On Wednesday of last week, the Chicago SunTimes reported that Butler allegedly doesn't have respect for Rose's work ethic. A source claimed that, "in Butler's mind, Rose was considered the face of the franchise, and if the face of the franchise wasn't busting his butt in practice every day, especially last season, what was the message to the rest of the team?"
On Thursday, an angry and confused Butler repeated that there is no truth to the rumors. As per K.C. Johnson's Tweets dated October 8, Butler and Rose have been in constant communication via text messages.
Butler also said that he loves playing alongside Rose, as the two have a chance to become the NBA's top backcourt.
As per the Chicago Tribune, Butler said the following:
"I don't understand why everybody wants to find a problem with me and Derrick," Butler said. "Let us be the fierce (expletive) competitors that we are (and) just let us play together. There's nothing going on.
"I'll try to keep my cuss words to a minimum, but it's making me mad," Butler continued. "I love having Derrick as a teammate. I think we can be one of the best - if not the best - backcourts in the NBA.
"Derrick and I are two great players who play well together. We do have to adjust a bit to each other's game because we haven't played a lot together. But we will continue to get better as we play more games and get the feel for this new offense."
Now, according to UpRoxx, Derrick Rose has also made a claim about the media's consistency of attempting to pin the two guards against each other. Rose says the issue is race related, as he claims in the video below:

Derrick and Butler may appear to have some sort of power struggle, but at the end of the day the two guards are simply doing everything in their power to get the Bulls to win a championship, which is ultimately the end goal.
So regardless of the petty rumors the media has been brewing, the two guards have one mission only: to get everyone on that team a ring.
