Brooks Ayers Threatens to Sue 'RHOC' Star Meghan King Edmonds Over Cancer Drama

Just when you thought that the drama between Real Housewives of Orange County stars Meghan King Edmonds and Brooks Ayers couldn't get any more heated, it turns out that the former boyfriend of Vicki Gunvalson has threatened Edmonds with lawsuit for defamation. It seems that the ex of the RHOC star is thinking about suing the Orange County newbie if she continues to talk about his cancer. While it was heavily speculated between the women of season 10 that Ayers was faking his cancer, Gunvalson's ex has had enough and is thinking of taking the situation to court, even slamming Edmonds with a cease and desist letter. According to Radar Online, Ayers and his lawyer, Sean P. Reis, drew up the letter and presented it to the rookie housewife on September 29. That was just one day after an episode of the Real Housewives of Orange County aired, which showed Ayers giving his medical records to fellow co-star Tamra Judge. In the letter Ayers presented to Edmonds, he explains that the phrases that she used, including, "I did not believe that Brooks had cancer," have been defaming to his career.

The star goes further to explain that Edmonds' words have extremely hurt his reputation, according to Starcasm, It is being reported that the comments that Edmonds has made in the press, as well as on the series, "Have caused significant damage to Mr. Ayers' reputation," and he has caused him to suffer "extreme emotional distress."

While it seems that Ayers is ready to file suit, there might be a silver lining for Edmonds, as he is saying that if they can come to a resolution that he will drop the case. Ayers will move forward with the lawsuit "Unless a mutual agreement can be reached to resolved the matter," according to The Hollywood Gossip.

The other conditions set forth are that the RHOC star has to retract her statement saying that Ayers is faking his cancer, a statement that he forged his medical documents and that she must say all this on national TV.

The reunion episode might make a perfect place to address this, but fans will have to see if she actually does just that in the coming weeks.
