Jennifer Lopez to Host American Music Awards: Performing ‘All I Have'

Entertainment mogul, Jennifer Lopez, will host ABC's 2015 American Music Awards, which will air on Nov. 22nd. The live broadcast will take place at Los Angeles' Microsoft Theatre. She will also take to the stage with a song promoting her upcoming Las Vegas show, "All I Have," which begins in January 2016 at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

Lopez will replace fellow Latino artist and two-year AMA host, Pitbull, for this year's award show.

AMA nominations will be announced by singers, Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth on Oct. 13. Nominees are selected based on albums sales, radio airplay, touring and social media.

In preparation for her award show performance, Lopez is training to be in a peak condition for her number that will involve intense choreography and singing. She confidently explained, "For me it was building up the stamina to do it. I knew I could. It's just one of those things: you really have to train. You have to see where you're going to do everything and how you're going to do it."

In 2013, Pitbull's first year of hosting the AMA's was met with mixed reviews. The Cuban-American performer included Spanish in his monologues and Lopez performed a tribute to the late salsa icon, Celia Cruz in Spanish.

Lopez's AMA performance and hosting gig this year will likely help catapult ticket sales for her Las Vegas show. In an interview this past summer, Lopez shared what her fans can expect.

"I think I've been preparing for this my whole life," Lopez said. "I'm excited about going to Vegas [and] doing the kind of quintessential show that I've always had in my mind."

The 46-year-old diva also said that her song numbers will be a culmination of "my Latin side, my fun side, and my hip-hop side."

The 2015 AMA's will air on Sunday, November 22 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
