New 'Aladdin' Blu-Ray Features Never-Before-Seen Robin Williams Genie Outtakes

It may be tough to believe that it's been 23 years since Aladdin first made its way into our hearts. It's even harder to believe that Robin Williams, who the film simply wouldn't have been the same without, sadly will not be around to celebrate its anniversary. Luckily, the new Blu-ray re-release of the Disney classic, The Aladdin Diamond Edition, will be honoring Williams with a few bonus never-before-seen Genie outtakes to assist in keeping his memory alive. Let the waterworks begin!

Although the re-release of Aladdin is exciting on its own, Williams' fans worldwide couldn't help but rejoice Friday when Good Morning America announced that the Diamond Edition of Aladdin would feature never-before-seen Genie outtakes. Friday morning's show also included commentary from the co-writer of the film, along with a rendition of "A Whole New World" which was performed by the original voice cast of the 1992 film. It's pretty safe to say that Williams' role in Aladdin was one of his most magical performances, and now we're all capable of witnessing the beloved late comedian at his best one more time.

You may be wondering what's so great about the outtakes that are set to be featured in the Diamond Edition of Aladdin? Without a doubt, Williams' role of Genie was by far one of Disney's best! Although we could make a 90's kid reference, the truth of the matter is that Aladdin has yet to lose its luster. According to People Magazine, the studio is re-releasing the movie with a bunch of bonus behind-the-scenes footage and will be including never-before-seen clips of Williams in the recording studio to top it all off.
