It was a huge night for 22-year-old "Silver Linings Playbook" actress Jennifer Lawrence at the 85th Annual Academy Awards show Sunday night. Between winning her first ever Academy Award for "Best Actress," stumbling up the steps to receive the Oscar, getting bleeped out on the Red Carpet for swearing, and shining in Dior couture as one of the night's best dressed, it's safe to say that J-Law certainly stole the show.
Decked out in a stunning pale pink, strapless "Dior Haute Couture" gown, the new face of the "Miss Dior" campaign may have looked like a sophisticated lady, but her words and actions were a little less refined.
Lawrence stole the spotlight from the beginning of the night as she made her debut on the Red Carpet in her gorgeous gown and was immediately deemed one of the "best dressed" by the hosts. When it came time for her interview with "Live on the Red Carpet" host Ryan Seacrest, the blunt actress didn't hold anything back.
As seen on the E! Red Carpet Live show, the Hunger Games actress seemed to embody her character "Katniss Everdeen" as Lawrence battled hunger problems of her own. She stressed to Seacrest that she was "freaking STARVING... I'm looking at the golden arches for McDonald's here," she said.
"I forgot to eat because it was so stressful at my house and I didn't have time," Lawrence admitted.
As she sent her publicist in search of a "Happy Meal," noted by The Hollywood Reporter, the actress remained uncensored on the Red Carpet. Following through with a former promise made to fellow actress Emma Stone, Jennifer centered her face in E!'s 'mani-cam' and screamed, "Your ass is mine, Stone!" E! originally installed the camera for the purpose of zooming in on celebrities' manicured nails and jewelry, but free-spirited Lawrence had her own plans for the cam.
Her candid moments on the Carpet didn't end there. While bonding with actress/singer Kristen Chenoweth about Lifetime's reality show Dance Moms, J-Law dropped the "s-word" on live television, and ABC had to bleep her mouth out, reported the Associated Press.
It wasn't until later in the show that we witnessed Lawrence's most shining moment of all: her epic trip up the stairs in her couture Dior gown upon accepting her first Oscar award for "Best Actress in a Leading Role." Previously revealing her biggest fear of "speaking publicly," the Silver Linings Playbook star must have been so nervous about her acceptance speech that being mindful of the stairs "slipped" her mind.
The audience still supported Jennifer with a standing ovation, to which she said: "Thank you, you guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell. And that's really embarrassing."
It's okay Jen, there's a clear "silver lining" here... you won your first Oscar!
