Akon Sued for Crippling Concert Worker [VIDEO]: Singer Allegedly Injured Man During 'Right Now' Stage Dive

Akon, the oft-maligned Senegalese R&B artist, has found himself in hot water again. Concert worker Matthew Graham is suing the "Smack That" singer for allegedly crippling him during a performance at Alabama festival BayFest in 2009, according to TMZ.

According to Graham, Akon dove off the stage during a performance of his hit song "Right Now" (or, as the lawsuit puts it, Akon "negligently or wantonly leapt into the overcrowded mass of concertgoers"). Graham says Akon landed on him, causing severe and permanent injury to his back, knees, head and body.

The lawsuit doesn't go into the extent of Graham;s injuries but he claims the incident left him permanently disabled and is suing medical expenses, lost wages, physical pain and mental anguish, along with other unspecified damages. Graham is also suing the festival's parent company, Bayfest, Inc.
