Season 5 of Person of Interest will return to CBS in 2016. Before the upcoming 13 episode run, the 2015 New York Comic Con featured Harold Finch (Michael Emerson), John Reese (Jim Caviezel), Sameen Shaw (Sarah Shahi), and Root (Amy Acker) ready for their "sizzle reel."
In our fourth season finale recap, the war between the Machine and Samaritan left casualties and forged new alliances in its wake. After presumed dead, Sameen Shaw (Sarah Shahi) was last seen walking away willingly with Samaritan's agents. While Samaritan was executing its master plan, Greer's men put a bag over Control (Camryn Manheim)'s head and took her hostage. In the cliff-hanger, as Pink Floyd's Welcome to the Machine started playing, Finch walked out, with no gun, alongside Reese (Jim Caviezel) and Root (Amy Acker) as they started shooting down Samaritan's agents.
As we mentioned before, there will be a special video presentation for New York Comic Con. On Sunday, October 11the, the POI panel was followed by a Q&A with stars Michael Emerson (Finch), Jim Caviezel (Reese), Kevin Chapman (Fusco), Amy Acker (Root), and Sarah Shahi (Shaw), who is confirmed for at least 9 of the 13 episodes.
According to IGN, a brand new scene was presented during the POI panel. This funny-as-hell clip is actually a light-hearted take, featuring all kinds of inside jokes among the cast. Watch Finch attempt to relaunch the Machine for a test run in the sizzle reel.
As transcribed by Comic Book Resources, Shahi and Acker teased there may be sex scene between their characters, Root and Shaw
Shahi starts off, "Just let your mind run rampant. 'm teasing it appropriately and not telling you anything at the same time."
Acer adds, "Root will be very happy."
Shahi continues, "I'll put it to you this way. Amy and I both have bruises, and it's not from any of the fight scenes."
Readers, are you excited for Season 5 of POI?
