Season 2 of Empire  continues with the drama and music on Fox. In the upcoming Episode 4, will the former couple, now turned rivals, Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) and Luscious Lyon (Terrence Howard) heard Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett)'s Battle Cry?

In our previous recap, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) told Jamal that she wanted to start her own record company, along with his two brothers. After the hostile takeover failed, Andre (Trai Byers) asked his father for forgiveness but Luscious said no. Whatever Andre has was passed down from Luscious' mother. Though he tried to convince his brother to stay at Empire, Jamal treated to sue Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) for leaking his own album onto the internet.

In our recent recap, Andre finally told his mother about Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) being pregnant. Even though he was going to be a grandfather, Luscious refused to accept his son back and forgive him. Even though time was short, Hakeem was ready to present his girl group to the radio waves. Unfortunately, Luscious bought the radio stations and bought Hakeem's female lead singer.

According to Buzzfeed, the Fox drama has released a new track in advance of this Wednesday's episode. This song will definitely have your heads bobbing. With Smollett performing the lyrics, this also happens to be the second song from the sophomore season of Empire that has written by singer-songwriter Ne-Yo.

Smollett reveals, "Battle Cry is a super-passionate song that I did with Ne-Yo. It's just so beautiful and it fits perfectly with the scene. When you see the episode, you'll know why."

The lyrics state, "I refuse to lose this battle may whatever come my way. I am stronger than my rival. No, I will not fold today."

Empire continues Wednesdays at 9pm on Fox.
