'Vampire Diaries' Candice Accola-King Got Pregnant Baby Bump Blessed by Pope Francis?

Last weekend, while in Philadelphia with her husband Joe King, Vampire Diaries star Candice Accola-King got her baby bump blessed by Pope Francis. Yes, seriously! Who would have guessed that King was such a big fan of the Pope, as vampires and Catholicism don't typically go hand-in-hand.

According to Wet Paint, King accompanied her husband to Philidelphia, where his band The Fray played a show alongside Motown legend Aretha Franklin. As if the show wasn't an honor in itself, Pope Francis payed King a very special visit backstage, which resulted in him blessing her big round baby belly.

When asked about her special moment with the Pope, King told People:

"It was incredible. My husband's band got to perform for the event in Philadelphia on Saturday night. I was there just supporting him and them, and it was such an honor to have a moment with the Pope."

King went on to say that she couldn't believe her husband's phone didn't shake right out of his hand while snapping the photos, and that the couple is still speechless over the Pope's special blessing.

Although we aren't quite sure how her ever-growing baby belly will affect her role on the Vampire Diaries, we're sure the producers have a few tricks up their sleeves. Maybe a vampire baby could potentially be involved? We're pretty sure that vampire's aren't able to procreate, but when asked whether or not her character would become pregnant as well, she did joke with People saying "Anything is possible", so who knows!

King's baby belly blessing may be a bit ironic given her vampirey TV role, but it was obviously a very special moment that her and her husband will treasure for years to come.
