The younger sister to Prince William's wife Kate MIddleton gives writing another go as she becomes a columnist for a monthly magazine published by "upmarket" British grocery store Waitrose Kitchen.
In a press release on Monday, Pippa Middleton announced this new writting venture by stating, "I'm delighted to be writing for Waitrose Kitchen, a magazine that's always been a source of inspiration to me, for its extensive spectrum of food and beautiful style," as cited by Yahoo news. "My column, 'Pippa's Friday Night Feasts' will be an exciting opportunity to share my own passion and enthusiasm for food and entertaining and I can't wait to get started."
As noted on the John Brown Media website, the successful Waitrose Kitchen editor, William Sitwell, is equally as excited to have the Dutches' sister on board. He stated:
"Pippa will be an excellent contributor to the magazine, bringing with her a wealth of experience of entertaining, gained in part from working at her family's party business ['Party Pieces']. Readers will love her relaxed and easy entertaining ideas which will help with the preparation for all sorts of occasions."
The "Frday Night Feasts" monthy column is a follow up to the 29-year-old's first attempt at becoming a "party planning" writer with her book "Celebrate." Launched last year, "Celebrate" is a guide to entertaining at home that includes recipes and party-planning tips and described Pippa as the editor of Party Pieces' online magazine and someone who worked for a London event planner, according to Yahoo News.
The book received largely negative reviews, with many critics complaining that the tips she offered were "obvious and unimaginative" states ABC News. Although Middleton tried her best to defend the book, it was ultimately a flop last fall.
Pippa hopes to be more successful this time around as her new feature column provides "relaxed and easy entertaining ideas" to shoppers standing in checkout lines across England. "Friday Night Feasts" will first appear in the April issue of the magazine, on sale in Waitrose from 28th March.
