After Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors addressed Doc Rivers' claims of the Warriors simply getting "lucky" during last season's NBA Finals run, Stephen Curry joked about possibly running for President, after Kanye West's term, of course.
Curry's popularity and likeness are at an all-time high, as the MVP and NBA Champion currently has the most popular jersey in the NBA, as reported by Cleveland.com. Along with the highest number of All-Star votes in the league this season, according to Yahoo Sports. So, when the Warriors met with President Barack Obama during a Democratic fundraiser last weekend, and a fan yelled "CURRY FOR PRESIDENT!" it came as no surprise.
On Tuesday, after answering questions about Doc Rivers' claims of the Warriors' "luck" helping them to win an NBA Championship (by sarcastically apologizing for winning the NBA title), Diamond Leung asked Curry about his thoughts on running for Presidency.
"I'll let Kanye take over first," Curry replied, as reported by Fox Sports. "and then I'll come back later."
Thus, Curry paid his respect to the rapper and producer, (who is apparently planning to run for president in 2020) and then jokingly accepts the possibility of running for president himself, later in time.
Given the fact that Curry is currently 27 years old, he'll be 32 during Kanye's run for presidency, so he's definitely on the right track as he chooses to wait his turn (possibly running in 2024 or 2028?). Imagine that: a rapper/producer as our nation's president followed by a basketball player, it doesn't get any more American than that.
Now, Curry and Obama are actually pretty close, as the two are currently golfing buddies, as reported by Sports Illustrated.

So maybe Obama could give Curry some tips on how to run the United States of America? Or maybe Obama could help Curry run his campaign! The possibilities are endless.
