As the MLB playoffs continue, the New York Mets host the Chicago Cubs in game 1 of the National League Championship Series tonight at 8:07pm on TBS.

This is the first time the Mets are in the NLCS since 2006, while the Cubs are back for the first time since 2003, as reported by GottaBeMobile.

According to NJ.com, New York will open with Matt Harvey in Game 1. Harvey is the right-hander who was 13-8 with a 2.71 ERA in 29 starts during the regular season. Harvey later struck out seven in a win over the Dodgers in Game 3 of the NLDS (National League Division Series). Since his first year back from the Tommy John surgery (the ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction), Harvey pitched 194 innings in the regular season and playoffs combined.

"Obviously what he went through in the last month has been difficult for him because deep inside, this guy is a tremendous competitor, and he loves to be -- he loves to be in the big game," Mets manager Terry Collins said on Friday. " I think he's ready for it. I know physically his arm is fine, and hopefully, again, a little bit more consistent routine, I think he'll pitch well."

Meanwhile, Chicago hit 10 home runs in the four-game NLDS and hit seven home runs in seven games during the regular season against the Mets; the Cubs won all.

Jon Lester starts game 1 for the Cubs. Lester is a left-hander who stands 6-5 with a 2.66 ERA in his 15 career postseason games.

TBS will be televising game 1, with the first pitched scheduled for 8:07pm Eastern Time. Ernie Johnson will be calling the game, alongside analysts Ron Darling and Cal Ripken Jr.
