Politicians typically love donations, but if you ask Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, it all depends on who it comes from. The Democratic presidential candidate reportedly turned down a donation from drug CEO Martin Shkreli. You know, that guy who jacked up the price of an AIDS and HIV pill 5000%. Well, Sanders did indeed do it and now the CEO is reportedly furious.
Shkreli hit the headlines last month when it was reported that he held the patent on the drug Daraprim, a pill used by HIV and AIDS patients. With that, he surged the price from $13.50 a pill to an astounding $750 – per pill. Afterwards, he became pretty much the most hated man in the world (right behind Bill Cosby, that is) and it appears safe to say that Sanders might be in the group that's hating on him.
Anyway, the CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals reportedly donated $2,700 to Sanders' campaign – the most individual donors are able to give out. And while Sanders and his crew thanked the organization for the donation, they apparently went ahead and donated the money to Whitman-Walker health clinic, an organization that seeks to help those with HIV and AIDS.
Oh boy...

The Huffington Post reports that Shkreli donated the money in hopes to meet with Sanders to explain just how the prices of drugs were set, but the Vermont politician apparently wanted nothing to do with the meeting, and refused the offer.
Now, according to Shkreli's Twitter page, he was very angry at the presidential hopeful, noting that he could "punch a wall" because of him.
SO ANGRY AT @BernieSanders I COULD PUNCH A WALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 — Martin Shkreli (@MartinShkreli) October 18, 2015
Our guess is Sanders doesn't really care.
