Homeless Man Sues Parents, Bernard Bey [VIDEO]: Aspiring Brooklyn Rapper Says Parents Didn't Love Him Enough, Seeks $200,000 and 2 Domino's Restaurants

Bernard Bey, a homeless man of Brooklyn, New York, is suing his parents for $200,000 for their lack of support and general indifference to his problems. On top of the money, the 32-year-old Bey feels that his parents should mortgage their brownstone in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of the borough and use the money to help him open two franchises "like Domino's Pizza." Bey has told many media sources that are covering the story, "I don't feel like my parents love me, they aren't supportive, they're emotionally abusive, verbally abusive. We don't have a family bond that a family should have."

Bey continues, saying, "Why not start a family business and start securing wealth for ourselves? Anybody that's logical is not going to sit on an asset and let it deteriorate and live poor when they don't have to. Why would you do that? Why would you live off the state and get public assistance and food stamps? Why would you allow your children to live like that?" He adds, "I feel like my parents should want the best for their children and grandchildren so we have something to pass down for generations so we don't have to live like this."

Bernard Bey's mother has obviously tried to stay out of the media but did suggest that he "go out and get a job." She also said that he is lying and that he has never worked a day in his life. To this, Bey replied, "I have an associate's degree in business administration and accounting. I graduated in 2009. There's not a time that I haven't been working." He ran away from home at the age of 12. "I'm hoping that I can come to some type of resolution with my parents and we don't have to go through this at all; we could just work together," he said. Bey also has dreams of becoming a rapper.

His mother and his stepfather are very angry at this situation especially because they feel like they are in no position to give him any money, let alone $200,000 and 2 Domino's franchises. They currently live in public housing and Bey's stepfather, Bernard Manley, has made it clear that Bey is not his biological son. Other family members said he has psychological issues.

Bernard Bey has said that he is willing to drop the lawsuit if his parents agree to sit down and talk over dinner. "Let's work together, and definitely, I'll drop the suit," said Bey.
