WWE taped the October 22, 2015 episode of Thursday Night SmackDown from Austin, Texas on Tuesday, and the main event features Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose vs. The New Day. We also get the main roster debut of Tyler Breeze on the final show before Hell in a Cell! We've got full spoilers for the show, so let's get into it.
The show begins with a backstage segment in which Seth Rollins runs into Corporate Kane, who books him for a match later in the night against an unknown opponent. He also books The New Day against Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose after the WWE Tag Team Champions ask for a match against The Dudley Boyz, whom they will face on Sunday.
Rollins' mystery opponent is Cesaro, and the champion beats him with a Pedigree. Interestingly, Stardust and The Ascension were in the crowd rooting for The Swiss Superman.
Paige comes out to cut a promo, and Charlotte and Becky Lynch follow shortly thereafter to call her jealous. The Bella Twins then emerge to interrupt the whole thing and mock the bickering among the members of Team PCB, which of course leads to a match.
Mercifully, it's not a six-woman tag team match! Instead, Nikki Bella cleanly defeats Paige. Even more mercifully, no one outside the ring interferes.
Miz hosts Miz TV with Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae. During this, Tyler Breeze makes his debut on the main roster! He links himself with Summer Rae and says they will give WWE a makeover. Ziggler calls him a "lazy millennial" and Prince Pretty beats him up for it.
Sheamus and King Barrett defeat The Lucha Dragons when Sheamus nails a Brogue Kick. Rusev was also out there with the winners, with whom he teamed on Monday Night Raw and will do so again on Sunday.
Ryback squashes Bo Dallas. WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens comes out to cut a promo after the match about his impending title defense.
Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose defeat The New Day when Reigns spears Kofi Kingston. After the match, Bray Wyatt appears on the TitanTron and cuts a promo on Reigns before they meet inside Hell in a Cell.
