Singer Bobby Brown has been sentenced by a Los Angeles Judge to 55 days in prison and four years of probation for drunken driving.
Brown's sentencing comes after the 44-year-old singer did not contest the charges against him that he was driving under influence and with a suspended license, said Frank Mateljan, spokesman of the city attorney.
Brown was pulled over by police in October after he was driving "erratically" and was "smelling" of alcohol. He was later arrested.
Apart from having to spend 55 days in Los Angeles County Jail, he will be under probation for four years and he was also ordered to complete an 18-month alcohol program and will have to attend three Alcoholics Anonymous meeting a week till he goes to jail, March 20.
This is the third time Brown has been convicted for DUI, TMZ exclusively reported.
Brown has five albums to his credit. His latest was 2012's "The Masterpiece." He has also made guest appearances in movies like "Ghostbusters 2", "Gang of Roses" and others. He has also appeared in reality shows and in one such show he had threatened to beat up the host, Jamie Campbell.
