5 Thoughts On David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson's Mulder & Scully 'The X-Files' What If Teaser!

Fox recently premiered an all-new teaser for the iconic sci-fi/horror series. This is the perfect opportunity to check up on the revival of The X-Files, will paranormal investigators Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) ask What If before their return.

As we previously mentioned,13 years have passed since FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully were on the TV screen solving weird and supernatural cases. The reboot of Fox's popular sci-fi series continues with an all-new 6 episode arc. Not only are the leads back to reprise their iconic roles, creator Chris Carter will takeover as showrunner for the franchise that launched his and many other careers.

5) Gotham Is Becoming My New Favorite Show

As we mentioned before, on Monday night (September 28), Fox aired a two-part trailer for their sci-fi procedural/drama. Just days after the cast and crew made their way to New York Comic Con, Fox then premiered a new animated promo during the previous Gotham episode. And now, new footage made its way onto television screens during the the fifth episode of Gotham.

4) Pleased To Meet You. Hope You Guess My Name

That's right! It's not Mulder introducing viewers, it's Scully talking directly to the camera. Anderson is saying, "I'm the primary on this case and this is my partner." As always, Scully knows how to dominate the crime scene and command authority.

3) That Looks Wrong

If you pause the tailer at 0:16, there is something very freaky going on. It looks like a sweet little girl, with her white gown, and she has flowers on her head. When you dig deeper, there's something off about the little girl, like she's wearing a mask of some kind.

2) Fancy Gadget

We get a closeup of a gloved hand, holding some type of injection gun. Could the device be alien or manmade? When the finger pulls the trigger, out comes the needles. Notice the small vial on the injection gun. The previous animated promo hinted that the blood ooze is coming back. Who's getting injected with the blood ooze?!?

1) Skiinner's Back

In the previous trailers, Cigarette-Smoking Man had a line to say. Still bald, and sexier than ever, Mitch Pileggi is back as Walter Skinner, the man who keeps getting promoting at FBI headquarters. Skinner advises an exhausted and unshaven Mulder, "Do something about it."

The X-Files returns with a special two-night event beginning Sunday, January 24, 2016, following the NFC Championship Game. The event continues Monday, January 25, 2016 (8pm).
